Many Americans throughout the country are dealing with pain and discomfort stemming from a chronic health condition or some injury. When we are in pain, especially in our muscles or joints, that pain causes our bodies to compensate as we try to move and engage in activities. That compensation then throws the rest of the body out of its normal functionality.
This cycle of pain and compensation can be devastating and have long-lasting effects unless the patient takes active steps to move toward living a pain-free life. Physical therapy is often sought to treat chronic pain, and physical therapists around the United Stated have seen great results with their treatment method.
In recent years, industry professionals have developed a new type of physical therapy treatment method designed to get even faster results for patients in pain. This new treatment is called Redcord suspension physical therapy. It can be a great addition to a patient’s medical fitness and wellness program.
Originating in Norway Sweden, Redcord suspension physical therapy is a unique ropes and slings system that provides controlled instability to challenge the body safely and effectively. The best part of this therapy is that your muscles and joints can be treated without the added weight of your body causing stress and tension. The muscles can relax. Neuromuscular Reactivation aims to restore normal muscle function by activating the dormant stabilizer muscles.
Redcord suspension therapy has provided a pathway to a pain-free life from those with a sedentary lifestyle to high-level athletes. Redcord suspension treatment involves specific closed chain exercises that are PAIN-FREE. The exercises can be adjusted for all types, regardless of lifestyle. NEURAC is a research-based functional exercise that is scientifically proven, and our team is confident that we can help you utilize this therapy for your benefit.
In short, yes! Redcord has been researched, developed, and utilized by physical therapists, Corrective Exercise Specialists, and other industry professionals worldwide. More than 75 published scientific research studies and 25 years of practical evidence supporting its concepts and role in physical therapy, sports rehabilitation, and fitness and performance training, particularly for golf and tennis.
Redcord suspension therapy will target your weak links (stabilizer muscles) that are not firing properly and are compensated by other muscles. When the body is being compensated, chronic pain occurs. Without the added stress of your body weight on your muscles and joints, they can be fully stretched and maximize their potential. Over time, the resistance holding the weight off your muscles will be returned as your strength is regained.
Redcord is the solution to chronic aches and pains so that you can keep doing the things you enjoy. When you work with a physical therapist from Medical Fitness and Wellness Group Johns Creek, you can rest assured that your body is in good hands.

Mike’s journey with physical fitness began in college 30 years ago when he broke his leg playing Rugby. He soon realized the importance of proper rehabilitation and Corrective exercise to build functional strength and prevent future injuries. Mike quickly embraced the lifestyle and the health benefits exercising gave him, not just from a physical standpoint, but from a wellness standpoint as well. Shortly after, Mike became certified as a Personal Trainer and was on staff with LA Fitness for several years where a master trainer introduced him to a whole new approach of functional and core training. While attending school for his Masters in Exercise Science and rehabilitation, Mike had the opportunity to work for a Medical Exercise company in Duluth, Georgia, where he learned from the best in the business in the way of Medical and Corrective Exercise.
