I started going to Medical Fitness about 4 months ago and my results are amazing. I've exercised most of my life but never stretched and it definitely caught up with me. But Mike at Medical Fitness has managed to limber me up ...I wholeheartly recommend him.
I started going to Mike because I needed to strengthen my back and improve flexibility. Since I have been going to Mike I am able to work out without my back being in pain. My sleep has improved due to not having a back ache anymore. My flexibility has also greatly improved well beyond my expectations. Mike has greatly improved my mobility in life. In the past I was getting numerous injections in my back a couple times a year. But with the program Mike has me doing for my back I have not had to go in for any more injections. All I can say Mike really knows what he is doing and is a great trainer.
I cannot say enough good things about the team at Medical Fitness and Wellness. My husband's primary care doctor was amazed at the improvement in his blood sugar levels, blood pressure and his weight loss after many failed attempts with other diet programs. His Dr. has taken him off two meds and plans to take him off a third soon. The nutrition program is a healthy, easy, no nonsense approach to eating. It has worked great for both of us and my fitness level is so much better than when I started six weeks ago. I have been told I will need both hips replaced in the future but their approach to workouts has eliminated the pain and strengthened my whole body. Mike and Ana have been great with nutrition and fitness and Dr. Lambert's treatment plan has eliminated the headaches I was experiencing due to neck issues. I highly recommend this group if you are ready to get healthy and fit!

I visited a couple of orthopedic surgeons to address a torn lateral meniscus in my knee and did not come away with a high degree of confidence that the solutions presented (including surgery) would be effective. I had previous strength training sessions with Mike Hardy, who recommended that I consider ARP Wave Therapy. After consulting with Dave Grove, I was presented with a training program to address the underlying cause of my knee issue. After 10 ARP Wave therapy sessions I am able to run and play ice hockey pain free. Mike and Dave at Medical Fitness and Wellness are very professional and knowledgeable about the science of fitness and were able to recommend proper exercise techniques to achieve my fitness goals. I came to Medical Fitness with no level of fitness to speak of. Mike has worked with me for several weeks both nutritionally, as well as physically. My mom brought me to Medical Fitness to help my posture with my hunched shoulders and to pull in my protruding right scapula. I am a volleyball player and use my right arm more extensively then my left. Dan and Mike created a dual program to get spine in line and improve my posture. Together then accomplished both. They also gave me exercises to do at home to continue my progress. Dan and Mike were excellent to work with, both very knowledgeable in their field and very personable.
Seeking out Mike to be my personal trainer was the best decision I ever made. At my age(over 50), I knew I needed to work out the right way with someone who really knows what they are doing. I met Mike Hardy when my health had spun out of control and I finally decided to make a life change. I struggle with limited range of motion in both knees, have had partial knee replacements on both knees about 4 years ago, had lost a lot of my flexibility post-surgery due to inactivity, and had really let my weight get out of control. I wanted someone that was well educated in their field and brought on well-educated folks to work with them. Mike not only fit that bill really well, but has been extremely easy to work with. He has been more than patient with me as we have worked through my physical limitations and has challenged me more than I have ever been challenged. Corrective exercise sessions have been very helpful.... Mike's program has had a positive impact in a short period of time. The ARP Wave Therapy for my hands and knees has also produced positive results. I look forward to starting my personal training program and continuing my ARP Wave Therapy sessions.

Mike has helped me tremendously over the past 6 months to improve shoulder function and build upper body strength to avoid injuries. The corrective exercise program was just what I needed to get started and now I've moved up to personal training and am seeing great results. He is very knowledgeable and is able to tailor an exercise program to just what I need. I couldn't recommend him more highly!
Every now and then you meet people who are truly great at their job. Mike Hardy is one of those. In addition to being a personal trainer, he it's also a medical exercise specialist - turns out that's a boring name for the fascinating specialty of how bodies ideally function, and how to correct any imbalances. After seeing him for 3 weeks now, I feel significantly stronger, more flexible and genuinely enjoy the personal training sessions.
I originally started with Mike in April 2016 for corrective exercise to help with chronic pain issues and within 6 weeks was feeling so much better I graduated to personal training! I am now so much stronger and basically pain free. When I do have pain flare ups Mike has given me the tools to treat them quickly. And the workouts are always different and "fun" :).
Those of you who know me know my health has suffered greatly over the last few years. Just six weeks ago I was jolting and falling to my knees at the bank, sometimes up to 2-3 times an hour. I went to Mike @ Medical Fitness & Wellness Group in late August 2017 for help in improving my walk and controlling my knee pains. Mike put me through corrective exercise regime using the redcord equiment. He has a proven method to use massage, stretching, and corrective exercise to help fix the pain issues and improve your life. He is very patient in troubleshooting the source of pain that frankly I did not get from MD doctors who charged me over $500/hr consulting fees. I recommend this business who have similar problems like mine.
I can't say enough about, Mike Hardy, and his, "Medical Fitness and Wellness Group." I had a friend tell me about Mike's facility after I confided to her how frustrated I was at not being able to lose weight. When I started with Mike I told him that I would like to lose 15 lbs. within a 3-month period. My son's wedding was coming up! I thought that there was a VERY slim chance that I would succeed at this goal. Mike seemed confident. Well, I lost the 15 lbs. in 3-months, after trying to lose at least 5 lbs. for years!!! Mike helped me accomplish this goal through strength training, and a further education towards my diet! I never thought this was possible, and I am now armed with the knowledge of how to go forward to continue my new life style, which has greatly enhanced my life!!
My results with Mike and Lilia exceeded my expectations. Mike trained me biweekly and was keenly aware of where me weaknesses were and helped me gain strength and endurance without injuring myself. If he saw that I was tight, he made sure that I stretched accordingly. No two workouts were alike and using my heart rate as a guide I effectively burned 300-500 calories per workout. Lilia educated me nutritionally and staying on track with my eating plan was achievable. It is clear to me now how to portion my food and combine protein, fats, and carbohydrates to achieve satiety and energy to carry me through my days. If I go back to old habits, it won't be because they didn't properly educate and inform me what is and what is not proper for both fitness and nutrition. I've been going to Mike for over a year. At first we started with Red Cord therapy and when I was stronger in my lower back I graduated to training. I've had back issues my whole life and can't rely on a regular gym trainer. Mike has helped to bring me back to my strength and flexibility without compromising my back situation.
I have been helped so much by these guys. I am in my mid fifties and was totally unfit when I first met Mike and Sam. I made some great progress but then suffered aknee and elbow inflammation due to illness. They stepped up and helped me get through that and I'm back to full exercise. The key thing for me is that when I exercise there is an "expert" one step away. If you have some injury they work around it but also work to fix it. The holistic view they have, diet, exercise, lifestyle changes, really makes a difference. I used to feel like "A tub of lard", now I can exercise for an hour and walk out feeling better than when I arrived. It's a great feeling. Let me add this. I've had bad days, when my body just did not want to exercise and my ability to press through was not there. I got a lot of support through those days - I always feel uplifted. There is a kind of scoreboard which shows calories "spent" in exercise. I just got into the top 10%. It was such a great feeling. Give this a go.. what do you have to lose?
OK. Can I tell you just how awesome Mike Hardy is? I recently moved to the Cumming area. Prior to moving I had been working out with a personal trainer 3-4 times/week for the past 3+ years. I had absolutely no hope that I would find a trainer as reliable and wonderful as the one I had been working with in my home town. Well, not only did I find a new trainer (Mike Hardy) but I found someone who is not only keeping me in shape (I recently lost over 125+ lbs) but also who has improved my workouts and has reduced my pain/injuries as well!! He has a repertoire of training techniques like none I've ever seen AND he focuses on my wellbeing as much as my figure! LOL! Meaning he knows the body/muscle structure and heals my aches/pains through corrective exercises to keep my body in the best shape ever. If you're looking for someone to help with building the body you've always wanted then Mike is your man. If you're looking for someone to help you with back, neck, shoulder, leg, etc. pain/injuries then Mike is your man. I just about never provide feedback/recommendations but in Mike's case I just had to tell my story. He's the best. Jump on board before he's no longer available because he will be booked up fast. I started seeing Mike because of my neck, back, and some general joint pains. The morning after my very first appointment I could already feel a huge improvement. Mike is a very knowledgeable trainer and likes to tackle the source of a problem instead of simply treating the pain.
